I recently received pictures of the Ubabub collection and was blown away! Designed by two Australian parents Natasha and Daniel Dumais who couldn’t find baby furniture to suit their modern taste in design…Ubabub is UBER COOL: sleek, hip and modern!
Ubabub cots and junior beds are available in two main designs: The Pod (top picture) and the Nifty. With the Nifty you can choose to have clear panels or all timber sides. Not only do the cots look super ‘clean’ in design but with the clear panels allow the parents to easily look in and this also means that baby will be able to have a ‘bar free view of the world’. These cots are also made from highest quality renewable and recyclable materials so they are eco friendly. I just am so excited that these cots are designed here in Australia. When I bought my son’s cot two years ago there was nothing on the market so sleek in design that was Australian. So I really can not write it enough ‘THIS is EXCITING’!!!
Style MILK is extremely lucky to have Natasha Dumais from Ubabub share 5 fun facts:
1. The Ubabub project took 3 years, and two babies, to come to fruition with many experts consulted along the way, to develop the best possible concept, products and brand.
2 Our unique Ubabub acrylic sides are a real global design innovation, evolving the look of traditional cot sides to enhance visibility and safety.
3 Ubabub products are kid-tested. Our daughters have both had the privilege of using our ubabub cot designs – THE POD and THE NIFTY – over the past couple of years, testing the accessibility and viability of the products. The outcome: They really are as practical as they are beautiful! We find it so much easier to check and settle bubs with the clear sides.
4 A true family business, I run the creative side of the business – design the concepts for the cots as well as the artwork. Daniel Dumais deals with the business and logistics side of the business. Our daughters Bianca and Sabine are also the very cute models in all the shots and provide us with lots of inspiration.
5. The couple also run a successful graphic design studio in Melbourne – Magnetic Design.

How gorgeous are the products!!!! I have a cot that converts into a bed already but have a very tall son (he is barely fitting in the cot now and has not even turned 2) if he doesn’t fit the bed…I want an UBABUB one!!!
Stunning! How exciting…these are truly beautiful. I also found the same problem when I was looking for a cot…I felt alot of them were like little jails and I wanted something stylish. These are just what I needed….hopefully next time
