Q) Who is in your family?
I am a mum of 2, Olivia (just started grade 1 age 6) and Lincoln (turning 3 tomorrow!). Love my kids to death, love being with them, doing things with them. My little girl is an angel, but my little boy is a total ratbag (loveable one of course). Happily married for 9 years this year to my hubby Rob.
Q) What was the inspiration behind setting up Bubba Bling?
Like so many mums to be, when I fell pregnant with Olivia, I started dabbling in ebay. I started selling MyLC Linen at the time & a couple of Alimrose & Penny Scallan bits & pieces which did really well for me on there and that is where the idea for Bubba Bling started. As Bubba Bling started to grow, I naturally wanted to stock more brands, but as I found out very quickly, most wholesalers I approached didn’t want their brands associated with ebay, so the next step was the online boutique. With lots of hard work, 2 years later here I am. Bubba Bling has grown so much in the last year in particular, which is really exciting for me to see, especially when you have built something from scratch and no money or help whatsoever behind me. I think I started out with $2,000 can you believe from some shares that I had and sold. As I made more money, I invested it straight back in to my site. I think if you talk to any online store it’s the same thing, I work mostly in the middle of the night when all the kiddies are tucked nicely up in bed, but i absolutely love it because it is my time and the only thing I do that is soley for ‘me’. I also work 2 days a week in a real estate. I have been there for 9 years now. I used to work full time there until I had my kids, and now I just go in for 2 days to do their accounts for them. I love linen & decor and that’s my thing, as you can tell from my site, and I have big plans for Bubba Bling in the future
