Often you read about fashion labels being described as ‘cult labels’ now Lover The Label is definitely one! I know because a few years ago I developed an immense obsession with this label and was one of many on the Vogue Australia Forums who eagerly collected items from every collections and counted down the days when the amazing lookbooks came out!
Lover is the amazing Australian Label by Susien Chong and Nic Briand. Most believe it was their iconic Black Magick collection (one dress worn by Miranda Kerr during their show became arguably the most collectable item by Lover enthusiasts I know because I bought the dress and resold the dress for more than $500 the price I paid for it!). What is it that draws so many fans? I would have to say it is the story telling that goes along with every collection. Pieces are cleverly designed around a theme often based around a time in a girls life or special time in history and so many women can identify with these themes.
Counting all my Lover pieces I would say I could have bought a small car! I was that obsessed! Having had my son has cured my obsession as many know it has now transferred in to his fashion….childrenswear (my husband is breathing another huge sigh of relief!!)
