When you first become a mother you find your whole world change…you barely have time to yourself and the last thing on your mind is being stylish! With my son nearly turning two I have found my sense of style slowly returning….and really enjoying getting back into my fashion obsession! Mothers are often stereotyped as only wearing tracksuits- I found that this is possibly because at first you really do not seem to find the time to get changed out of anything but PJs and tracksuits!! But there is definitely such a thing as a ‘Yummy Mummy’-we are all out there it just takes a little time getting used to the life changing motherhood and learning to try to take out some time for yourself!
Here is proof that there are divine Yummy Mums out there: Hayley is the SUPER stylish mother who runs the Uber cool boutique Little Pinwheel! I buy a great deal of clothing from her store and knew before I met her that she would be on the same wavelength with my own style! Outfit 1-”Country road jersey dress with black tights. layered with long sleeve tee underneath and a wool cardi undone. I love this look with a pair of connies. I live in my converse! I love to be comfortable being a mum but at the same time I do like to look and feel nice, even if I do have bits of their food on me or anything else they like to share with their mum. The dress, tights and cardi all country road and the long sleeve tee is Witchery”.
Outfit 2: “The second outfit is Tsubi or Ksubi jeans, skinny leg with my other connies, white over size v neck tee from Country Road and a wide neck wool top from Rittenhouse. I love wearing jeans and it is all I pretty much wear in winter. I have a lot of denim!”
The bed shot “….is my comfy wool blend pants from Country Road and my Witchery long sleeve tee. This look was worn with my gumboots as it rained that day. I wore one of my Country Road cardis. The kids are both in their Polka jammies.”
